The Cross III: The Pharisee's Yoke
[Verse 1]
Salvation does not mean mortal perfection
It is simply a holy and perfect affection
So behold the blood of Jesus Christ,
By faith, in which we are saved
Not through works, so that none can boast.
Our sins are gone, they're waived
Forevermore!
Don't think, because you build your facade,
That you automatically deserve applause.
And while the fallen are crushed under your hate,
You construct your own terrible fate.
[Chorus]
"I never knew you evildoer" He will say,
And still you pass your own judgement.
You look to the past instead of living today
And you consign your mind to madness.
Can't you see what you do is evil?
You place a yoke on heavy-laden shoulders!
You presume to assume the Lord's will,
And the 'light' you preach causes men to falter.
Salvation does not mean mortal perfection
It is simply a holy and perfect affection
So behold the blood of Jesus Christ,
By faith, in which we are saved
Not through works, so that none can boast.
Our sins are gone, they're waived
Forevermore!

And the 'light' you preach causes men to falter.
This is unfinished and will be continued...
